Barbara was born in Brooklyn. She studied photography at The School of Visual Arts and The New School and was an active member of Advertising Photographers of America and Professional Women Photographers in New York City.
As a Manhattan-based photographer with a professional studio in SOHO, she is no stranger to exhibitions, presenting a wide range of subject matter from cityscapes to boardrooms, from artistic nudes to household pets.
Before she became a photographer, for over 13 years Barbara traveled the world working with Fortune 500 companies in the medical and pharmaceutical industries as an event planner.
Barbara found solace and a new meaning in life here in the Berkshires after losing her childhood sweetheart (a NYFD Lieutenant) in 9/11. Drawn by its beauty and people, she abandoned Manhattan and embraced the Berkshires. As a member of the Columbia County Council on the Arts and the Woodstock Artists Association, she exhibited her landscape photography in Troy and Hudson, NY.
Barbara lives in Pittsfield, MA, with her husband, Bill, and their chocolate lab, Titus.
